Back To school

Back to School remains one of Walmart.com largest seasonal campaigns outside of Holiday. As an AD, I provided creative and strategic direction, while working cross-functionally with marketing, copywriters, designers and business partners.

Overview

I led the design direction for our Back to School campaign - ensuring the look and feel was consistent. The creative our team designed for Back to School appeared on Walmart.com, the mobile app and external marketing, such as Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. In addition to site assets I worked with the UX team to create a unique site experience, which was a 'Wish List' page that became a hub for parent's to find their child's school list, and a place for teachers to post the supplies they needed for their classroom.

Revenue - $3,865,457

Visits - 1,878,867

Key Categories: Office, Apparel, Electronics, Home, Consumables and Grocery

Back to School Landing page

The landing page was built to be flexible; so different stories could be swapped in, and hierarchy could be adjusted throughout the three phases of the campaign.

The page features product, video, content and sold placements. It is responsive and utilizes templates that have been skinned to keep the page constant with the Walmart.com site as a whole.
